Final Award for Scholarship (I Swear This Time)

This award was given to me before school was out at a ceremony for the faculty and staff at East campus. A few of my professors were there and other students were also given awards at the ceremony.

The award was presented in that handy-dandy frame which makes it impossible to scan. Due to this I had to photograph it with my digital camera. If you look closely you can see my reflection.

A Little Ticked Off

After two weeks of waiting for either Photobucket (where my images are) or Freewebs (where my blog is) to fix the problem with the images I finally emailed Freewebs today to find out if the problem is on their end or not. I hope to get a response soon. In the meantime I may have to consider moving my blog elsewhere. I don't enjoy the idea as it would take a lot of time and effort which I don't have right before finals but I like my blog and want to continue to do it....so we'll see!

I got a call today that the campus President wants me to come to another banquet on Wednesday April 30th @ 3:15 in the afternoon. They have another certificate for me and want me to bring my medal. I agreed since I will be in between classes at that campus anyway. Just when I thought I was all but done with the scholarship stuff, more stuff comes up.

I am drowning in school work at the moment and Matt will be home soon...so when I hear something about the blog, I will let you all know.

Problems with Freewebs

I am aware that the pictures I posted last night cannot be seen at this time. I have been trying a multitude of different things to make it work, but I haven't been successful. I am guessing there must be a problem with Freewebs. Stay tuned, hopefully they will have this fixed soon.

Pima Community College Board of Governors Award

Matthew and I just returned home from the Pima Community College Board of Governors meeting where I received another award in recognition of my scholarship.
As far as I know this is the last event and award I will receive for my scholarship. I sure did manage to drag this out long enough. I found out about winning the scholarship in November and I have been collecting awards, metals, and accolades ever since. It is now time to put the money to use and get my bachelors!

The event was nice and I was surprised to see a fellow student, Kalli, from my math class. My teacher gave her the evening off as well to attend the awards ceremony in which she received a $250.00 scholarship for doing exceptionally well on the AMATYC math test. She (who is Indian and speaks British) and her husband (who is from Scotland) made for wonderful companions during the ceremony. Quite memorable, indeed!

This other image is just a postcard U of A sent me but I thought it was cool!

Letter from the Scum Devils

I got a letter today from Arizona State University wanting me to use my tuition waiver at their school. Ummmmm........NO but nice of them to offer. I would be a traitor for even thinking about going to ASU. I bleed red and blue, baby!

Delirious with Fever

I have officially been in bed with a fever for three days straight, at its height my temperature was 102.4. It dropped today to 100.2 and I feel lucky. Here is to hoping my fever breaks within the next couple of days! I went to the doctor, and of course I am the picture of health...sent me on my way with some cough medicine and said to "get plenty of rest". Glad I paid my co-pay and drove myself there in a fever induced coma to come away knowing just as much as when I went in.

One highlight was this letter I received yesterday. I had Matt read it for me because I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. That's right, more money for college!!
